Corning, Inc. Facility at McQueen Park, Jedburg, S.C.
When Corning, Inc. asked Quattlebaum Development Company to build a new 300,000-square-foot facility in the Charleston area, they needed a quick turnaround. Quattlebaum Development Company was able to deliver by taking the project from woods to a fully functioning factory in just six months. To guard against potential slow-downs, which is often caused by inclement weather, Quattlebaum Development Company planned ahead by digging ditches and providing pipes to drain standing water more quickly. Because of their forethought, they were able to minimize downtime on the project. "[Quattlebaum Development Company] went beyond what they had to do to get us in the building," says Ralph Hillburn of Corning, Inc.
McCall Center in North Charleston, S.C.
At the entrance to the new Centre Pointe development, home of the future Tanger Outlet Center, and just steps away from the North Charleston Coliseum and the Performing Arts Center, as well as I-526 and I-26, sits McCall Center, a 52,000-square-foot retail development. Quattlebaum Development Company completed this massive and high-profile project on time and on budget with no major problems. To ensure a smooth construction process, a Quattlebaum Development Company principal was on site for the entire project, which is standard protocol for any development the company is completing. Today, McCall Center is home to a range of both national and local tenants including Alltel, Panera Bread, Quiznos, Capelli Bliss, La Hacienda and China Garden.
